Construction is ongoing in Vancouver, on the Freedom Mobile Arch that will total 10,000 seats when complete. This ground-breaking open-air venue features the world’s largest free-span mass timber roof.
The F3 Timber Tech products used on this project were the newest version of the BRGN plates.
The BRGN plates, our newest generation lifting hardware, were supplied as part of a specialized rental package to Walters Group. Each lift on this project used four plates, with each plate approved to safely handle over 25,000 lbs per pick, making them the highest-capacity lifting plate on the market for mass timber. Our system boasts exceptional capacity for the demanding requirements of this record-setting timber structure.
All lifting connections used Schmid Schrauben Hainfeld screws, chosen for their proven reliability on high-stakes installations where precision and safety are critical.
ASPECT Structural Engineers provided site-specific lift engineering for the project, and Walters Group continues to execute the highly coordinated installation on-site under the architectural vision of Revery Architecture Inc. and structural engineering by Fast + Epp.
